What We Believe

We are Christians who strive to follow the Bible alone as our only guide for faith and practice. We believe the Scriptures teach one simple, life-changing message: God loves the world and has provided salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ, under the New Covenant.

Core Beliefs

We Believe in the One True God. God has always existed. He created the heavens and the earth and everything in them. He is the Father, and He desires a relationship with every person.

We Believe in Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Son of God, our Lord, Savior, Brother, and Friend.

      • He died on the cross as a substitute for us, paying the penalty for our sins.
      • Sin is defined in Scripture as death — eternal separation from God.
      • On the third day, He rose from the dead, conquering both sin and death for everyone.

We Believe the Bible is God’s Word. The Holy Scriptures are inspired by God and are our sole authority (2 Timothy 3:16). We do not follow human creeds, traditions, or denominational rules. We simply want to be the New Testament church you read about in the Bible — Christians only.

      • Hear the gospel (Romans 10:17)
      • Believe that Jesus is the Son of God (John 3:16; John 8:24)
      • Repent of sin (turn away from a life of sin) (Acts 2:38; 3:19)
      • Confess faith in Jesus as Lord (Romans 10:9-10)
      • Be baptized (immersed in water) for the forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; 1 Peter 3:21)
      • Live faithfully to Christ for the rest of their life

Salvation is by God’s grace through our obedient faith in Jesus. There is no other way to enter heaven except by following the terms of the New Covenant.

We Believe in His Church. The church is the body of Christ — all who have been saved by obeying the gospel. We meet together on the first day of the week (Sunday) to worship God in spirit and truth, just as the first Christians did. Our worship includes singing, praying, teaching God’s word, giving, and observing the Lord’s Supper.

If you are searching for truth, we invite you to open your Bible with us and investigate these things for yourself. Jesus said, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free” (John 8:31-32).
