2,000+ years of the life of Jesus Christ.

The Old Testament spans from the beginning of Earth's existence (created by God, who has always been, is now, and always will be) to the last prophet, Malachi. This covenant was for the Hebrews, stemming from the promises God made to Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. Even though the covenant was for the Jews, it acted as a teacher for us today, teaching us about the advent of Jesus. Everyone is now under the new covenant.

Today, we are under a "New Covenant" established through Jesus Christ. That new covenant is called the New Testament. It's God's covenant with all people everywhere, enacted by Jesus. His death and resurrection.

It's the good news, called "the gospel" in the New Testament. From it, we learn the following:

  • Jesus is our Lord, Savior, Brother, and Friend.
  • He substituted His life for ours in payment for our sins - sin in the Bible means death, eternal separation from the Father.
  • Not only did Jesus pay for our sins, but He also arose from the dead on the third day, just as He had said would happen.
  • Jesus has conquered sin and death for everyone.
  • To enter heaven, each person must adhere to God's plan of salvation, made possible by Jesus' death and resurrection.

The Father has a plan for salvation. To be saved, we must follow His plan. We are lost eternally if we don't accept His terms for salvation.
